ANIMALS ON CAMPUS
ANIMALS ON CAMPUS
In keeping with the district priorities of maintaining a safe and civil environment conducive to learning, Navarro College prohibits animals on any location or college property with few exceptions allowable as identified below:
A. official college mascot, B. police dogs, C. service animals as defined by the United States Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division’s Disability Rights Section, and D. pre-approved assistance Emotional Support animals (restricted to assigned Residence Life room and grassy vicinity), as determined through appropriate medical and other documentation submitted to and approved by Navarro College Office of Accessibility and Accommodations in compliance with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Guidelines. E. animals brought to campus for approved events, provided that the event organizer has obtained prior approval from the Vice President of Student Success, Location Deans or designee, and the Vice President of Finance by completing an Animal Activity Form at least two weeks before the event. |
